School Teacher Hired a Hitman to get herself Murdered in Instabul

The killing of a school teacher in Istanbul on April 21 turned out to be a planned scheme by the murder victim, with the killer being a hitman she had paid to murder her.

.

Forty-one-year-old İlkay Sivaslı was discovered dead in her residence in Istanbul's Kartal district and media portals had originally reported that the suspected assassin Tanju D. was her ex-boyfriend and murdered her after an argument over money.

However, the arrest of Tanju D. in the southern city of Adana, where he escaped after the murder, along with the discovery of text and voice messages in his custody shifted the course of the inquiry. It turned out that Sivaslı was upset after she broke up with her married boyfriend and discovered Tanju D. online while searching for a hitman to murder her as she wasn't able to commit suicide.

.

She paid TL 6,000 to her would-be murderer, but Tanju D. fell in love with the teacher and couldn't bring himself to murder her, at least for a month. He also saved every chat he had with the woman on the mobile and in-person and in some recordings, Sivaslı can be heard saying him, "I am fed up with waiting. When will you kill me?" while in another recorded voice clip, she is heard warning Tanju D. not to murder her while she is in the company of her colleagues.

Tanju D. eventually brought himself to murder Sivaslı and attempted to choke her to end at first but failed. He then fired a shot at the woman, finally killing her, and escaped the scene.

After a 6-month trial, The hitman was sentenced to life in prison.
