In 2019, a Florida boy, Khyler Edman, was 15 years old when he died from attempting to defend his little sister from a robber.

Several testimonies had been received of a dangerous someone stalking around in the area and police came to investigate it.

By the time police came into the area, there was a 911 call regarding a possible robber who was bleeding.

The man tried to leave the scene, but it did not help (fortunately).

Police had chased the man down and charged him and he was recognized as 27-year-old Clayton Cole.

When police were searching the area to investigate if any other residences had been burglarized, they found two children alone in a home, the teen who had died, and his little sister.

The sister of the Khyler, who was hiding in her room, said to the police that Cole was heard knocking and opened the front door on Sept 26. After sometime, Cole pointed a firearm at her brother, asking, “Put your hands up,” according to the affidavit. Using a knife, Khyler attempted to save himself from Cole. However, Khyler Edman was later discovered with many stab injuries to his torso area.

“We understand the teenager was attempting to save the home and his little sister,” said the police.

Khyler's parents declared that “He was the type of kid you would like to be your son.”

Shortly after Khyler's death, a GoFundMe page was created to support the financial duties of Khyler's funeral.

The family asked for $25,000 and over $76,000 have been raised to help them.

This was one of the courageous things I’ve seen someone do.

I have the ultimate appreciation for this kid for doing something some people wouldn’t have the hearts to do! A teenager who was glad to give his life to defend his sister; now that’s what I call Bravery.
