Fighting With A MMA Fighter

When a robber attempted to snatch her mobile phone, he didn't know he was messing with Polyana Viana, a UFC boxer.

In a city with a community of 63.2 lakhs, an unlucky robber went on to assault a woman who turned out to be an MMA, Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

Polyana Viana, who is a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fighter, was stopping for her Uber in front of her flat complex in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro when a man came to her and asked her for a moment. After she said him the time and he however wouldn't flee, she grew suspicious.

Then the man began terrorizing. "Give me the mobile phone. Don’t try to respond, because I have a gun" he told and pointed at what looked like to be a gun on his person.

A surprised Viana's fight or flight instinct kicked in. She believed that if she behaved quickly, perhaps the robber will not have time to use his gun.

So she threw two timely punches and a charge at the robber. When he came down to earth, she locked his head and neck in a rear-naked choke and then settled him down in the same spot., saying passersby to support her and phone the authority.

At the police station, the skilled fighter understood that the robber had been attempting to surprise her with a fake pistol made of cardboard. The man had previously been in police custody for the last conviction.

UFC president, Dana White published an Instagram photo of the man and his wounds.
