From Poland, Zowada was a lovely student in the late 90s, she studied psychology then changed to history, eventually, she settled on religious researches.

A few weeks before her disappearance she ended following classes and on November 12th, 1998 her mama reported her disappearance after she hadn't appeared for a medical appointment.

People who remembered her explained her as shy and reserved but they all told the media that she was a nice person.

In January 1999, a boat team discovered fragments of her corpse entangled in the propeller which had disabled the ship. The staff told the police of their finding and when the police came they managed to discover more fragments of her corpse.

It was assumed her body had been destroyed by passing ships until a postmortem was performed on the parts discovered. This revealed that the torso skin had been slowly removed, her limbs and head were also cut.

Zowada's skin had been eliminated in a way that would let her murderer form a skin suit that could be worn. Detectives concluded that the skin had been floating in the river for a few weeks at this level. They discovered her leg and parts of her clothing at a later date but her head, limbs, and other remains were never discovered.

Suspects

1999 - a man who constantly wandered on the river was chosen as a suspect because he disliked women and some say he sexually attacked them. The authority, later on, dismissed him from their list of suspects.

2) A student from Russia murdered his dad and dissected his scalp. He then sewed it in the form of a mask and wore it on his skull. He pretended to be his dad for an entire day in front of his grandfather, who had severe eyesight difficulties. Authority raided his residence in May 1999. They discovered no hint of Zowada and he was deported back to Russia to be sentenced for killing his dad.

3) In 2000 the DNA of another person was discovered on the corpse. Unfortunately, it didn't support the investigation and her case was postponed in 2001.

• In 2012 her case was reopened due to discovering the remains of plants and fibers of organic ancestry. The corpse was exhumed and specialists noted that the plant remains did not come from the aquatic background the corpse was discovered and are only to certain places. This told detectives that Zowada wasn't killed in the area her remains were found. In 2014 Krakow police asked for the service of specialists from Southern Europe and the FBI to support to solve this. Detectives searching his residence found blood in the bathroom, the bath and frame were conserved for more testing.

Psychology specialists pointed to brutality with the tendency to harass women, display bizarre behavior, such as dressing up in women's clothing or looking into neighborhood houses.
