Cash rose briefly to acknowledge that he was present at the judge's order.

Police officer Robert Whitty said the accused had been arrested at 7.43 pm. A lawyer for the defendant asked that his client be given legal aid.

He also expressed that he would be seeking a psychological assessment for his client.

Cash’s solicitor also said that he was seeking his client to be placed into “solitary confinement” while on remand in prison. The judge stated that this would be a matter for the governor and said she would note that he was seeking a psychological assessment.

The defendant was remanded in custody, as a bail request for a murder charge can only be granted by the High Court.

Earlier, a vigil was organized in memory of the borther and sisters with a huge crowd gathered outside the house on Rossfield Avenue to mourn alongside family and friends.

The victim's 14-year-old brother was transported to hospital with severe but non-fatal injuries following the incident

Their mother, a woman in her 40s, was released from the hospital on Sunday and is being supported by her family.

Officers were phoned to a residence in the Rossfield estate at nearly 12.30 am on Sunday.
