Sindh Police ASI uses daughter as bait to catch Kashmore gang rape culprit

A Police officer sent his daughter to catch rapists in a rape case.

 

According to the police, a woman came to the Kashmore(A village in Sindh, Pakistan) police station on  10, November 2020, Tuesday morning and complained that her daughter has been taken, hostage. The criminals have said that if she wants to save her daughter's life, she should bring another girl for them.

This is the gruesome story of a gang-rape case of a woman and her five-year-old daughter that sparked outrage in the country.

The woman said that she a man meet her in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center in Karachi and said that he would get her a job in Kashmore.

According to the woman, the man said that her salary will be forty thousand rupees(local currency). The woman accepted the offer and came to Kashmore with her daughter, where she was taken to an abandoned area.

According to the woman, when she asked them, where they took her, she was threatened and told to keep walking quietly.

After a while, she was taken to an abandoned building and locked in a room.

 After that, the mother and daughter were gang-raped for days. Then they shifted to another location, where they were gang-raped again for days.

 

She complained that the suspect (Named Rafiq Malak) has held her five-year-old daughter, and he would only let her go when she will bring him another woman. Rafiq Malak even gave her the expense to return to Karachi.

 

 Now Kashmore Police came up with a unique plan to nab the criminals. ASI Mohammad Bux decided to take the risk of sending his daughter with the mother to be handed over to the criminals, with a plan to catch them on the spot.

The ASI and his family then volunteered in the action.

 

ASI (assistant sub-inspector) Mohammad  Bakhsh convinced his wife to talk to the suspect over the phone which she did. Then the woman from Karachi and the ASI’s daughter waited in a park in Kashmore where the suspect was coming to meet them.

Muhammad Bakhsh had already explained to his wife how to talk to the suspect. Rafiq Malik (The Suspect) talked to the officer's wife for almost 10 minutes. After some time, he invited her to Kashmore. The officer's wife asked which place to come in Kashmore, and he said, in the main park.

When you reach there, I will receive you.

Police caught Rafiq Malak on the spot as he arrived. He then led the Police to the building where he kept the girl. The police took the DNA samples of the victim and the suspects and sent them for testing.

 

In police custody, the accused confessed his crime very soon.

To avoid violence in police custody, Rafiq Malik immediately told about the address of the other culprits. According to the report of ARY News, when police went with Rafiq Malik the identification of the other culprits, They opened fire on the police party.

Rafiq Malik was seriously injured in the exchange of fire and was immediately shifted to the hospital. But he died on the way to the hospital.

Sindh government announced a cash reward for police officer

 

The Sindh government has announced a reward of one million rupees for the daughter of a police officer who helped with the arrest raping culprits. Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said that he will also recommend the federal government give a civil award to the police officer for showing such bravery.
