On the 25th of January, 2005, ten-year-old Katlyn “Katie” Colman was kidnaped when she was traveling to a nearby shop. By 7:30 pm that day, she was reported missing. After five days of quick searching, Katie’s corpse was discovered near a river by an Indiana State Policeman.

Originally, the police caught Charles Hickman for the crime, but there were some inconsistencies with his statement. DNA proof finally directed the authority in Anthony Ray Stockelman’s way. He was caught and charged with the kidnapping, molestation, and killing of Katie.

After being found guilty of the molestation and killing of 10-year old Katie Collman in 2006, Stockton was sentenced to life in prison. He avoided the death sentence by pleading guilty to the murder. While this might satisfy some people for such a vicious act against someone so young, the family of Katie thought differently.

While serving his sentence in prison, Stockelman was accosted by many inmates and forcibly tattooed with the words “KATIE’S REVENGE” spread very visibly across his forehead. As it came out, a cousin of Katie was doing time in the same jail and took it upon himself to tag the child molester.
