Murder Or Suicide? Strange Case of Christian Death

21-years-old Christian, who worked offshore on a tug boat named the Magnolia Marine, was discovered dead in the washroom of his flat on Feb. 26, 2014. Both his girlfriend and one of Christian’s buddies were at his flat that day. His family claims it was a planned homicide and states that the crime scene inquiry took place for only forty-five minutes. So MURDER OR SUICIDE?

Christian started dating a 17-year-old girl named Whitley Goodman. She was crazy with a bad character and did not look like a good match for Christian. His parents were worried about how friendly they were.

"She explained a very violent childhood and I believe that's one thing that Christian liked to save her, expected to come in and take care of her, and then after about the 1st-month things started to go downhill and I began becoming more and more worried about the relationship," told his mother.

Not even Whitley’s best friends characterized her well. They said her manipulative, sneaky, and cheater.

Due to his employment with boats, Christian had a fixed life insurance policy. After an accident that took place at his job, Whitley indicated that she liked to be on the life insurance policy because she was nervous about what would happen to her and THE BABY if another accident happened.

"It seemed from the text messages that she had said him she believed she was pregnant, then she returned later, a couple of days later, told she wasn't pregnant, but then she told 'What if I was pregnant, who would take care of me and the newborn because you understand my mother wouldn't,'" told Rae Andreacchio.

Finally, pressure built up between Whitley and Christian’s parents so she was said to leave. Christian agreed that he would leave with her so they shifted into a flat together. While residing together, Christian had to leave on job trips a lot. While on these work trips, Whitley took benefit of it.

A few of Whitley’s activities when he was gone:

She hung out with men.

She cheated on Christian.

She used Christian car and cash and also took drugs.

She invited unpopular people over.

On February 22nd, 2014, Christian was planned to go for another trip. Nonetheless, the night before (February 21st), a debate took place between Whitley and him. Whitley took off to a party and Chrisitan did not believe what she did at the party. The pair was not on talking terms when he went for his job the second morning. When he left, he carried a lockbox in his car including a pistol and 7000 dollars. Did he not believe Whitley around this cash and pistol? He came to his destination, placed his car in a protected parking lot for his job, and went on his work trip involving being on a boat.

While he was working, Christian began receiving furious phone calls from a friend named Dylan Swearingen telling him he wanted to come home soon. Christian met Dylan through Whitley. The trio hung out often but keep in the sense that Whitley knew him first. Dylan said Christian that Whitley was utilizing his car to drive to join a boy who was a notorious drug dealer. This pushed Christian over the end so he agreed he would leave his job trip, come to the residence, and attempt to kick Whitley out.

Unknown to his parents, on the night of February 25, 2014, Christian obtained approval from his captain to leave the boat. His family tells Dylan to pick him up outside New Orleans and the pair went back to Christian's flat. The idea was to kick her out, get his vehicle, and head right back to his job trip by 5 pm that exact day.

At 4:30 pm on February 26th, 2014, Dylan Swearingen phoned 911 telling Christian had committed suicide in the bathtub.

Christian was discovered face down in the bathtub. The entrance injury was on the right side of his skull right above his ear. The shot and casing were both discovered in the bathtub but did not suggest that the bullet entered anywhere in the tub as if the gun was fired inside the tub. Still, there was a hole near an outlet exact behind Christian’s corpse. The hole was never checked to see if it was a shot hole. The tip of the bullet also noticed like it could’ve had drywall on it.

Christian was right-handed and the entrance injury was on the right side. Still, the gun was discovered by his left hip between him and the bathtub. The barrel of the gun was also facing the left (not probable if firing into the right side of the head). The gun was unchambered, but the gun used was semi-automatic which shortly reloads itself after a bullet. Someone had to alter the gun after a bullet went off.

The blood at the murder scene was dried, yet the predicted timeline of this suicide would have indicated he killed himself within the last hour before the 911 call.

At 4:45 pm, police and other responders came. Still, just 45 minutes later the Police Chief ended the inquiry by directly saying it was a suicide. The only information taken was the casing and the bullet. A decent inquiry was never carried out.

When Christian’s parents received the call they were soon suspicious. "He wouldn't murder himself," told Rae. "He is not Christian. Why would he murder himself? He was coming home to kick this girl out and get his car back," told his father.

"His motive was to be a captain, the youngest captain at 27 years old," said Rae Andreacchio, Christian's mother. "They all tell he would have made it because he was continuing pretty rapidly."

"He had two cars, Jet Skis, plenty of cash in the bank, and was 21 years old. He had everything on the planet to live for," told Chris Thompson, Christian's uncle.

After the murder, Christian’s brother was the one forced to clean the crime scene, not the authority. Christian’s parents reviewed the scene where their son committed suicide and discovered a bloody towel stuffed behind the toilet and a knife covered in blood. His parents shortly brought the two things to the authority to be tested…….but it was lost by the authority.

Christian’s post mortem was considered doubtful, not a suicide. He had a fracture on the back of his head and a small injury between his eyebrows which was verified to happen before death.

Both Whitley and Dylan were interviewed.

DYLAN’S SIDE:

Dylan declared that Christian came to the flat at 11:30 am and argued with Whitley resulting in Christian putting a gun to his head asking “do you love me?” Still, he then says that the argument settled and they all watched a film. After the film, Dylan decided to run some duties including taking out money “for Christian” and taking Whitley’s phone to get repaired because it was broken during the controversy. Before he departed, he hid Christian’s gun behind a curtain so he couldn’t discover it.

An hour later, Dylan is discovered on a bank security camera attempting to withdraw ALL of Christian's cash. He said the police that he had gone to the credit union to withdraw all of Christian's cash. And they asked 'Why did you do that?' And he told 'Because he wished me to have it.' Unfortunately for Dylan, Christian forgot to give him his account provide identification number so Dylan called a random friend to see if they understood what to do to get the cash-out….not Christian. Why would Christian provide Dylan his card if he liked him to use it without providing a proper pin?

Dylan told them he returned to the home where Christian and Whitley then took a ride to discuss things. When he woke up, he saw Christian relaxing on the couch smoking a cigarette and Whitley was sleeping in another room. Dylan decided to go once again, but before he left, he delivered Christian his gun back. When authority asked why he performed this, Dylan told: “I couldn’t carry it with me.” He never carried it with him the first time he ran errands either though?

After running tasks, he came to Christian's flat around 4 p.m. He says Whitley was sleeping at the time but Christian was nowhere to be seen. That's when he saw a light on upstairs so he knocked on the bathroom door shortly inquiring “are you alright?” He got no answer. Dylan told that he went wake Whitley up and let her notice that Christian was in the bathroom and not replying to him.

When he unlocked the door, he found Christian’s corpse slumped into the bathtub. He cried to Whitley that Christian was dead without ever testing on him further. Whitley ran up the steps screaming and held Christian as Dylan phoned 911.

When Swearingen made the first 911 ring he told he had noticed blood spatter on the stairs. Now if Christian shut the door, put his skull in the tub, and shot himself, why is there blood spatter outside the washroom?

WHITLEY’S SIDE:

Whitley’s statement begun by saying the authority that Christian did not believe her and she was scheming on leaving him, but that she satisfied herself they could help it out. She told the evening before Christian arrived at the residence, he called her telling her he was resigning his job and arriving back. This is a similar time frame where they were not on talking terms.

His parents tell him this would not be something Christian would announce. He liked his job and struggled VERY hard to grow his job. He was devoted and motivated with no explanation to quit.

Whitley never remembered a disagreement that took place between the two where Christian put a pistol to his head. Rather, she told them they went on a ride to a garden where Christian said he felt like he couldn’t make anyone pleased. The last part of her statement was that they got to the residence and she took asleep with her dog.

When authority asked Whitley if Christian ever chatted about hurting himself she said, “I don’t believe so.” So what about him putting a gun to his skull earlier?

She declared she slept through the gunshot. Did her dog react to this gunshot?

That is all the facts she ever told.

Christian, Whitley, and Dylan were assessed for gunshot residue on their hands. Whitley confessed hers would come back positive because the night before the event she met up with a man named Matt (the guy she stole Christian’s car to go meet) and they were shooting pistols. Still...gunshot residue only stays on somebody’s hands for around 4-6 hours and limited if they take a shower or wash hands.

Dylan’s test also resulted out positive and he told it was because he went through Christian’s pockets for cash. Dylan never remembered doing this to the authority though.

Matt came forward and said Whitley only began chatting to him once Christian left for his job. Matt inquired Whitley if she was still with Christian and she told no. Despite Whitley telling she shot a gun with him, Matt rejects it and told that she was too frightened. The whole time she was sitting on his lap with her ears covered. Whitley and Matt ended up sleeping with each other before she went back to Christian’s flat.

When Matt heard the information of Christian’s suicide (the day after), he phoned Whitley and she did not reply. He then phoned one of Whitley’s best friends who she ended up being with. Whitley said to Matt that Christian discovered out she was cheating on him so they rode around to chat about it, and then took a sleep TOGETHER. Whitley said to the authority she took asleep by herself. More things, she said to Matt that she woke up to the sound of a gunshot, went upstairs to Christian, and discovered a bullet wound to his throat. She also confessed to Matt that Christian DID make warnings to injure himself. Another frightening fact is when she found Christian’s corpse, she took a cigarette out of his purse to go smoke it.

This all contradicts her statement to the authority. She said to police she never heard gunshots and that Christian had 0 suicidal attitudes. It was also confirmed that she called her boyfriend using Christian's mobile.

Why would Christian freely allow Whitley to call another male?.

Expressing on all of these, Christian parents are infuriated and are persistent with getting his news out there. They declare that their son would never commit suicide. Dylan and Whitley were never arrested, nor investigated further.

The truth remains hidden.
