On Valentine's Day, a woman named Christina Harrison shot and killed another woman named Alexandria Cress Borys outside a Kroger store in South Carolina. 


The incident happened in the parking lot in front of Borys' children. It is not clear why the argument between the two women started. Harrison ran away from the scene but later surrendered to the police.

Tyler Borys said his wife, 26-year-old Alexandria Cress Borys, was loading groceries into her car at the Kroger in Irmo, South Carolina, when she got into an argument with a woman she didn't know, according to FOX 57 Columbia.

After the argument was over, the stranger, later identified by Irmo police as 23-year-old Christina Harrison, allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Borys in the back. The couple's children, a 2-year-old and an infant, were in the car when she was shot.

The Irmo Police Department said the incident took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and pronounced Borys dead.

 

According to the Irmo Police Department, after gathering information from eyewitnesses and reviewing security camera footage, it was determined that the two women involved in the shooting did not have any prior acquaintance. The authorities revealed that a verbal dispute took place between them before the shooting occurred.

However, the reason behind their argument and what led to the shooting remains unknown.
"Unfortunately, this is a situation where tempers flared, and someone let anger get the best of them.  

 

One rash decision has impacted the lives of two families and countless others who witnessed this tragic event." Irmo Police Chief Bobby Dale said on Facebook.  "Senseless is the only word I can think of to describe what happened today."

Christina Harrison, the suspect in the shooting, initially ran away from the parking lot but later contacted the police to surrender herself at around 5:30 p.m. She was arrested and taken into custody at the Lexington County Detention Center on Tuesday night.  

Based on the jail records, Harrison has been charged with multiple offenses including murder, unlawfully carrying a pistol, and possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

According to an article in The New York Post, Christina Harrison was due to appear in court on Wednesday, but her private lawyer chose not to proceed with the hearing.

 

Tyler, the husband of the victim, revealed that the incident happened just six days after the death of his younger brother, Brandon, who also died from a gunshot wound. Tyler expressed his grief to the media and described Alexandria, who worked as a cosmetologist and was pursuing a nursing degree, as the perfect wife and a wonderful mother to their children.
