The FBI is renewing its push as it searches for a Michigan woman who has been missing since December and may have been killed.

Local authorities are being aided by the FBI in the search for Heather Mae Kelley, a 35-year-old resident of Portage who has been reported missing since December 10th.

"There is evidence to suggest that she may have been the victim of a homicide," the FBI said in a press release.

The FBI is providing a reward of a maximum of $20,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the discovery of a missing Michigan mother of eight, Heather Kelley, who authorities believe has been murdered. Kelley, aged 35, has been missing since December, with her car found burned the next day. Forensic investigation revealed the presence of her blood and human hair in the car, suggesting a potential crime.

According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System of the Department of Justice, Kelley informed her family that she was en route to downtown Kalamazoo to pick up an acquaintance. However, she has not been seen or heard from since that time.

Authorities reported that Kelley's last contact with her children was at approximately 10:20 p.m. local time on the same night, during which she stated that she would be returning home soon.

Authorities stated that Kelley's vehicle was discovered abandoned in Comstock Township on December 11th.

"The vehicle was set on fire and evidence of blood was found inside the vehicle,"

During a press briefing held last month, Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller III disclosed that Kelley's clothing had been discovered close to the location of her abandoned vehicle.

The FBI has launched a massive search for a Michigan woman who has been missing for almost three months, with authorities suspecting she may have been killed.

The sheriff disclosed at the time that authorities had identified an individual of interest who was providing "limited cooperation" with the investigation. Fuller also revealed that investigators suspect the involvement of at least one person in the burning of Kelley's vehicle and the possible destruction of other pieces of evidence.

As of now, no charges have been announced in relation to Kelley's disappearance. However, a Silent Observer has also announced a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that can help locate Kelley.

If you have any information about the case or the whereabouts of Heather Kelley, please contact the Portage police at 269-329-4567, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office at 269-383-8748, or the FBI Detroit Field Office at 313-965-2323.
