Prison records indicate that Josh Duggar, a former reality TV star, has received an additional two months of jail time on top of his original sentence of 12 and a half years. Duggar, who is 35 years old, was convicted of charges related to child pornography in 2021.

Following his recent discovery of a contraband cellphone, Duggar's sentence was extended by almost two months, and he was allegedly placed in solitary confinement. The former cast member of "19 Kids and Counting" has not made any public statements regarding the matter through his representatives.

In December 2021, Duggar was found guilty of possessing and downloading child pornography after a Little Rock, Arkansas detective discovered that a computer linked to Duggar was sharing files containing child pornography. In 2020, a federal agent testified that explicit images of children, some of them toddlers, had been downloaded onto a computer located at a car dealership owned by Duggar in 2019.

Although he apologized for his pornography addiction and infidelity, calling himself the "biggest hypocrite ever," Duggar has continued to assert his innocence regarding the child pornography charges against him. His legal team is still pursuing efforts to appeal his sentence.

After it was revealed that Duggar had sexually abused four of his sisters and a babysitter, TLC canceled "19 Kids and Counting," a show that focused on the large Duggar family, in 2015. The abuse investigation began in 2006 after a family friend provided a tip to authorities.

Duggar was never charged for the incidents of sexual abuse against his sisters and a babysitter, as the statute of limitations had expired. Originally, Duggar was scheduled to be released from prison on August 12, 2032. However, due to his recent sentence extension, his new release date is October 2, 2032. He is currently serving his sentence at FCI Seagoville, located near Dallas.
