On Monday, Baton Rouge Police Department reported a tragic ending to the search for 42-year-old Nathan Millard, a Covington father who went missing during a business trip. Millard's body was discovered at around 3:30 a.m. on the 2900 block of Scenic Highway.

According to FOX 5, Millard's disappearance was last noted on the night of February 23 while he was on a business trip to Baton Rouge. Millard had apparently vanished without a trace. On the evening prior to his disappearance, Millard had been in the company of a client, as confirmed by his friend Matt Still.

"They went to an LSU basketball game then to a bar called Happy's in downtown Baton Rouge. His hotel from Happy's is only 500 feet away, it is one block, I've mapped it out on Google," Still said.

Upon Millard's failure to attend a meeting with his client the following day, they became concerned and went to his hotel room to check on him. However, they found no indication of Millard's presence.

"His stuff was still there, his bed was made, so he hadn't slept in it," said Still.

According to Still, Nathan's phone was discovered four blocks away from his hotel, and there were at least two instances of his credit card being used in the surrounding area. Nathan, who was from Covington, is survived by a 7-year-old daughter, two sons, and two stepchildren.

At present, the authorities are uncertain about the cause of Nathan's death and are awaiting the results of an autopsy for further clarification. The investigation into Nathan's disappearance and death is still in progress.
