Rockwall police looking for possible victims of child sexual assault suspect

Authorities in Rockwall, Texas are searching for additional individuals who may have been subjected to sexual abuse by a man over a period of several decades. The suspect, 64-year-old William Bynum, was taken into custody earlier this year on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

During the course of their investigation, authorities discovered evidence suggesting that Bynum may have sexually abused children in the past. Rockwall Police have identified multiple individuals who were allegedly victimized by Bynum as far back as the 1980s. 

Bynum has resided in various cities over the years, including Quinlan, Texas, Channelview, Texas, Birmingham, Alabama, and Lawton, Oklahoma. Presently, the 64-year-old is being held at Rockwall County Jail on charges of six counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, three counts of indecency with a child, and two counts of displaying harmful material to a minor.

He is being held on $1,125,000 bond.
