Lillian, a 48-year-old woman, embarked on what was initially planned as a brief day trip on Sunday, journeying through the dense bushland in Bright, located in Victoria's High Country.

Astonishing video footage has surfaced, capturing the exact moment when emergency services discovered Lillian on Friday, after an extensive search of the rugged terrain. Lillian's car had been spotted at the conclusion of a dirt road in the Mitta Mitta bushland.

On April 30, Lillian was driving towards Dartmouth Dam when she reached a dead-end at the end of Yankee Point Track. She realized she had taken a wrong turn and tried to turn her car around but got stuck in the mud. Lillian couldn't call for help because there was no mobile reception, and she couldn't walk for assistance due to health problems. As a result, she had to stay in her car in the isolated bush area.

After Lillian's family raised the alarm on April 30 because they hadn't received her daily check-in call, the police conducted extensive searches in the Mitta Mitta, Wodonga, Bright, and Albury areas.

Fortunately, the police helicopter spotted Lillian, allowing them to guide a local police van to her whereabouts. She was found "safe and well". Sergeant Martin Torpey from Wodonga Police Station mentioned that Lillian managed to survive partly because she had fortunately stored some gifts in her vehicle.

“The only liquid Lillian, who doesn’t drink, had with her was a bottle of wine she had bought as a gift for her mother so that got her through,” Sergeant Torpey said.

“She was only planning a short-day trip so had only taken a couple of snacks and lollies with her but no water.

“She used great common sense to stay with her car and not wander off into bushland, which assisted in police being able to find her.”

Since Lillian was unable to move her car, she relied on its heater to keep herself warm during the cold nights. She was discovered approximately 60 kilometers away from the closest town, and when she saw the police on Friday, she felt a great sense of relief. The police were equally delighted to find her. Lillian was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for dehydration and is currently being observed by medical staff.
