Bill Hall Jr. had been in a committed relationship with his wife Frances Hall for 32 years, having been together since they were 18 years old. Bill and Francis Hall bought their first truck in the early 1980s. And then, they grew Bill Hall Jr. Trucking into a multimillion-dollar business -- at its height, worth $15 million.

Together, they raised a family and built an extremely successful company. However, despite all of this, Bill's heart seemed to be swayed by his extramarital affairs and lavish spending. Tragically, it was these indiscretions that ultimately led to his untimely death.

The Hall family, comprising Bill Hall Jr., his wife Frances, and their two children, enjoyed a near-perfect life. According to their daughter Nikki Hall, her mother loved watching everyone open their Christmas gifts at home . The family's holidays were always filled with laughter and joy, creating a magical atmosphere akin to a Hallmark movie come to life. Still this did not stop Bill from sleeping around, he was said to have had multiple affairs in the course of their 32 year old marriage.

According to Bill Hall Jr.'s cousin, Hank Hall, Bill frequently confided in him about his numerous extramarital affairs. However, despite his infidelities, Hank Hall claimed that Bill still harbored a deep love for his wife Frances after all those years. "Bill's love for Frances was so intense that it was hard to believe," Hank Hall stated. He speculated that the reason it kept happening was because his wife always forgave him and kept taking him back.

However, everything changed in 2010, when Bonnie Contreras, who was 28 years old at the time and worked as an exotic dancer in San Antonio, Texas, attended a spinach festival where she met Bill Hall Jr., who was 47 years old. According to Contreras, there was an immediate attraction between them. She claimed, "We locked eyes and I knew, I knew right then," and this was the beginning of Bill's doom.

Bill Hall Jr. and Bonnie Contreras' relationship lasted for three years, during which he lavished her with expensive gifts and even paid for her boob job.

However, when Bill began to distance himself from Contreras in 2013, she started harassing both him and his wife, Frances Hall, by sending hundreds of nasty messages. Hank stated that Bonnie sent a barrage of aggressive and obscene messages, including photographs of her and Bill engaging in sexual activity, which naturally angered Frances. As a result, Bill was kicked out of the house and he ended up staying at Bonnie's. The situation escalated on October 10, 2013, when Frances Hall was driving through San Antonio.

She spotted Contreras driving in one of her cars in the opposite direction with Bill Hall Jr. following Contreras on his motorcycle behind, she began to give them a chase. The details of the car chase are disputed by both women, but it ended with Frances Hall colliding with Bill Hall Jr.'s motorcycle, causing him to be thrown from the bike. He later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital few hours later. In 2016, Frances Hall was sentenced to two years in prison for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

After Frances Hall was convicted in September 2016, Bonnie Contreras stated in an interview that she had forgiven Frances. She said, "I can't hate or judge anybody based on the sentencing that [Frances Hall] received. Do I agree with it? No, but I'm okay with it." Contreras further expressed her willingness to talk to Frances face to face and offer forgiveness, saying, "If I had the chance to talk to Frances face to face, I would tell her, 'I forgive you.' I forgive this woman."
