A teenager who disappeared in 2015 has been found alive but injured.

Rudy Farias IV was 17 years old when he vanished on March 6, 2015, while walking his two dogs near Tidwell Road in north Houston. The dogs were later found, but Rudy was not located.

An electric billboard was put up in 2017 to help find him. Authorities said that Farias was diagnosed with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety.

Rudy Farias, who disappeared in 2015 while walking his dogs, was miraculously found beaten and bruised Thursday by a Good Samaritan who called 911 according to his mother, Janie Santana.

“My son Rudy is receiving the care he needs to overcome his trauma, but at this time, he is nonverbal and not able to

communicate with us,” Santana said in a statement to The Post provided by the Texas Center for the Missing.

“We are asking for privacy during this difficult time but will

share more details as Rudy continues to heal,” she said, adding the family does not have any additional details about the case or where Farias has been for eight years.

At the age of 17, Farias vanished under mysterious circumstances in close proximity to his family's residence. The alarm was immediately raised when his dogs returned home without him. Farias' mother expressed concern as he always adorned a necklace that belonged to his late brother, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident back in 2011.

After a period of time, Farias was discovered in an unconscious state, bearing numerous cuts and bruises, near a church. Remarkably, he was still wearing the same necklace, as confirmed by Santana in an interview with ABC 13. Farias, who has been largely uncommunicative since his discovery, continues to tightly grasp onto this sentimental chain.

She said he is only able to say a few words before moving into a fetal position.

In an update on Monday, Houston police also said there was an apparent sighting of Farias by his family in 2018 — though the tip never resulted in cops locating the missing man.

At the time of his disappearance, Farias suffered from depression, PTSD, and anxiety, Texas EquuSearch said in 2015.

“It is possible he is disoriented as he has not been taking his medication,” the organization said at the time, as it launched a search for Farias.

Initially, authorities did not suspect any malicious intent when Farias went missing, and further details regarding his disappearance were not promptly disclosed.

Expressing her concerns, Farias' mother has stated her belief that her son may have endured abuse, as he was discovered next to a church with a head injury and was bleeding.

The Texas Center for the Missing is continuing to investigate the case. His family says he is in the hospital being treated for several injuries and is in “bad shape.”
