Pedro Rodrigues Filho , from Brazil who became infamous for killing people he thought were criminals. Between the ages of 14 and 19, he went on a killing spree and even murdered an entire gang in retaliation for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend.

Pedro Rodrigues Filho was convicted of 71 murders, but he boasted about having killed more than 100 drug dealers, rapists, and murderers. He spent a total of 34 years behind bars, averaging around 25 weeks of imprisonment for each murder. Finally, he was released from prison in 2007.

Rodrigues was born on a farm in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, a town in the southern region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Tragically, he experienced a traumatic injury before he was born. His father kicked his pregnant mother's belly during a fight, causing a bruised skull.

At just 14 years old, Rodrigues engaged in a violent act that would shape his future as a well-known criminal. He shot the deputy mayor of Santa Rita do Sapucaí in front of the city hall. This act was motivated by his father's dismissal as a school guard due to allegations of stealing food from the school kitchen.

Afterwards, he went on to shoot the security guard he believed was the real thief, utilizing his grandfather's shotgun for both murders. Escaping from law enforcement, Rodrigues sought shelter in Mogi das Cruzes, a city in Greater São Paulo. There, he started robbing drug dens and murdering drug traffickers. The media took notice of his deeds, labeling him as a vigilante and giving him widespread attention.

Upon reaching Mogi das Cruzes, Rodrigues encountered Maria Aparecida Olympia, also known as Botinha, and the two established a life together. Rodrigues swiftly became immersed in the local street gang, assuming the responsibilities of a deceased member. As a result of his affiliation with the gang, he was compelled to eliminate certain rivals and ended up taking the lives of three former associates.

Botinha, who was carrying Rodrigues' child, tragically fell victim to a rival gang leader, who took her life. Despite his young age, Rodrigues was consumed by a desire for vengeance. He embarked on a relentless killing spree, meticulously hunting down and ruthlessly murdering every single member of the rival gang.

In a horrifying act driven by revenge, Pedro Rodrigues Filho targeted his own father for his next murder. Previously, Rodrigues had already killed on behalf of his father. However, his father had been imprisoned for murdering Rodrigues' mother with a machete. When Rodrigues visited his father in jail, he seized the opportunity for vengeance and brutally stabbed him 22 times. In a deeply disturbing and gruesome act, Rodrigues went as far as cutting out his father's heart and even proceeded to chew on it.

Rodrigues' life of crime eventually led to his first arrest at the age of 19 on May 24, 1973. From that point onward, he spent the majority of his adult years behind bars, where he persisted in committing acts of violence and brutality. One particularly shocking incident involved Rodrigues killing another inmate while being transported in a vehicle. It is worth noting that both individuals were handcuffed and under the supervision of the police at the time.

When questioned about the incident, Rodrigues argued that the other inmate was a rapist. Although he was initially sentenced to 126 years in prison, he was slated for release in 2003 under the previous Brazilian law, which limited imprisonment to a maximum of 30 years. (This law was later amended to 40 years in 2019.) After spending 34 years in prison, Rodrigues was finally released on April 24, 2007. It is believed that he subsequently moved to Fortaleza in Ceará.

Rodrigues' taste of freedom didn't last long, as he was once again apprehended on September 15, 2011, at his rural residence where he worked as a caretaker. He was convicted of charges connected to participating in a riot and unlawfully restraining others while in detention in São Paulo. Consequently, he received an eight-year prison sentence. However, due to exhibiting good behavior, he was released on December 10, 2018, after serving a total of seven years.

When confronted about the killing, Rodrigues claimed that the other inmate was a rapist. Despite being sentenced to 126 years in prison, he was due to be released in 2003 due to Brazilian law at the time that prohibited anyone from spending more than 30 years behind bars. (This was later revised to 40 years in 2019.) After serving 34 years in prison, Rodrigues was finally released on April 24, 2007. Following his release, he reportedly relocated to Fortaleza in Ceará.

According to reports, Rodrigues is said to have murdered 47 of his fellow inmates, whom he believed deserved punishment for their own criminal activities. Disturbingly, Rodrigues expressed satisfaction and exhilaration in interviews, admitting that he found pleasure in taking the lives of other criminals. His preferred methods of killing involved the use of blades, specifically through stabbing or hacking.

On March 5, 2023, Pedro Rodrigues Filho met a tragic end when he was shot and killed by two individuals in Mogi das Cruzes. The assailants, who fired at Rodrigues from a car, quickly fled the scene in another vehicle. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended in relation to this incident.
