Two Florida women were arrested last week after they were seen aggressively handling a baby outside of a bar, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by multiple news outlets.

On Sept. 14, Brianna Lafoe, 19, and Sierrah Newell, 20, were taken into custody by Daytona Beach police on charges of child abuse, the Daytona Beach News-Journal, WESH 2 News and WOFL -TV report, citing the affidavit. Lafoe also faces a charge of misdemeanor battery.

Police say when they responded to the Coyote Ugly Saloon just after midnight, witnesses reported that the women were aggressively handling a baby, throwing him into the air, flipping him upside down and tossing him back and forth “like a toy,” the affidavit states, per the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

The incident was reportedly caught on video by a witness who claimed Lafoe went to stop them from recording while grabbing the baby by his ankles, WOFL-TV reports, citing the affidavit. She allegedly hit that witness, per the report.

Meanwhile, police say Newell "was on crutches and [allegedly] threatening to hit bystanders,” per the affidavit. At one point in the footage, police alleged they saw Newell aggressively swinging the baby up and down. Police also claimed Lafoe was seen holding the baby upside down and shaking him over concrete, according to WOFL-TV.

According to all three news outlets, police said the baby was taken to a local hospital with red marks on his back and X-ray photos indicated he possibly has a broken arm. The child has since been released from the hospital.

The relationship between the women and the baby has not been shared by police. Both women are being held without bond, WESH 2 News reports. It’s unclear if they have entered pleas or retained attorneys to speak on their behalf.

PEOPLE reached out to the Daytona Police Department for additional details but didn't immediately hear back.
