Kelsie Schelling was scheduled to join her boyfriend a day after finding out that she was eight weeks pregnant. But she hasn’t been seen since and her family expects clues.

Two days before her disappearance, the officer tells Schelling’s boyfriend, Don the Lucas, sent her a series of unhappy text messages asking her to “just arrive to please” to Pueblo, Colorado, a two-hour drive from Schelling’s home. They planned a meeting to take place the following day.

On the morning of February 4, a prenatal meeting verified that Ms. Schelling was pregnant. One of the last messages friends would obtain from the 21-year-old was a sonogram of her baby.

Later that night, Ms. Schelling prepared the trip to Pueblo to greet Mr. Lucas at a Walmart. According to a list of her texts, she came to the Walmart parking garage quickly after 11 pm.

An hour later, Mr. Lucas was nowhere to be discovered, and Ms. Schelling sent him a msg saying him she was “tired of waiting”.

Moments later, Mr. Lucas texted Ms. Schelling to establish a new meeting appointment in the neighborhood. About half an hour later, Ms. Schelling messaged Mr. Lucas again: “Where are you? I’ve been in your house for over an hour just waiting for you”.

She was never discovered again.

But what occurred after has the Schelling family requesting explanations from police, with statements that the authority mishandles the inquiry.

The day of February 5, hours after Ms. Schelling’s disappearance, Mr. Lucas was seen on CCTV footage riding Ms. Schelling’s black 2011 Chevy Cruze.

Mr. Lucas began to drive the car to a bank, where he withdrew $400 utilizing Ms. Schelling’s ATM card.

Shortly after midday that day, CCTV footage reveals Mr. Lucas parking Ms. Schelling’s vehicle at a Walmart parking lot. Authority tells Lucas to step out of the driver’s side as the second camera tapes him stepping away.

The following day, on February 6, an unknown man, dressed in a gray hoodie, is caught on the exact CCTV footage getting into Ms. Schelling’s vehicle and driving away.

On February 7, the car is dropped off at St Mary Crown Hospital in Pueblo. A hospital spokesman verified surveillance footage revealed the exact unknown man dropping the car off. Police discovered the car a week later.

On February 11, the Schelling family launch a Facebook page, Help Find Kelsie, in the hope a breakthrough will aid the possibility.

Police charged Lucas on February 15 on three counts of identity robbery and theft of less than $500, but those charges were later declined.

While they announce Mr. Lucas is still a person of interest, no charges have ever been made against him.

The case stays open.

When 21-year-old Kelsie Schelling quit answering her phone on Feb. 5, 2013, her family and colleagues started to wonder where she could exist.

"We attempted calling her … couldn't get an answer," Savannah Heggie, who was Schelling's manager at the home goods shop she worked at, said ABC News' "20/20."

Schelling's dad, Doug Schelling, also attempted desperately to catch his daughter, who was residing in Denver at the time.

"She didn't reply any call, which is sort of pretty unusual," Doug Schelling said to "20/20."

Schelling is an energetic young woman, who likes to have entertainment and chuckle, those who understand her, say and are liked by her family, colleagues, and her dog name Karmi.

Authority says that on Feb. 4, 2013, Schelling took off to Pueblo, Colorado, to meet her boyfriend, Don the Lucas. Schelling was eight weeks pregnant.

"The entire nation just unraveled. All of her colleagues, like, began calling us telling, you understand, 'We've been attempting to reach Kelsie and we can't touch with her.' And when that occurred, that is, like, when I got frightened," Schelling's mother, Laura Saxton, told "20/20."

More than three years later, family and colleagues are searching for explanations to what appeared to Schelling.

Her mother has publicly denounced the Pueblo Police Department, which she announces mishandle the inquiry and left her and her family carrying the bag.

"It's amazing to me. I mean, I can't think it's me doing all of the things that I'm doing too hard, you understand, get out and battle with people as I have," told Saxton.
