Woman claiming to be missing Madeleine McCann 'submits DNA samples'. Julia Wendell, 21, went to California, US, after receiving death threats in her home country

A 21-year-old Polish woman named Julia Wendell, who thinks she may be Madeleine McCann, has reportedly submitted DNA samples to confirm her identity as the missing girl. Due to receiving death threats in her home country, she was taken to California, USA.

Julia Wendell gained popularity on Instagram after sharing 'evidence' supporting her claim that she is Madeleine McCann.

Julia is currently staying at a safe house in California, where a private detective and self-professed medium Dr Fia Johansson are investigating her claims.

The Star reports that Julia's family in Poland have rejected her claims and have blocked her phone number. They also refuse to take DNA tests to confirm her identity.

Madeleine vanished while on a family holiday in Portugal in 2007

The private detective claims to have visited Wroclaw, the city where Julia says she grew up, and has not found any hospital records relating to the first five years of her life.

Dr. Fia Johansson, in a conversation with RadarOnline, stated that Julia has submitted three DNA samples for forensic analysis and also taken a genetic test to determine her ancestry.

"If the results come back that she’s British or from that area then we are going to continue our investigation into Madeleine McCann and communicate with the detectives in Portugal," Dr Johansson told the publication. We have a lot of evidence right now that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland."

According to Julia, she does not recall significant portions of her childhood, and she asserts that she was never treated as a member of her family.

Additionally, she alleges that a German pedophile, who bears a resemblance to a previous suspect in Madeleine's disappearance, had abused her.
